A truly classic style, the English Special Bitter is all about balance. A blend of four different grains lay the foundation of this refreshing brew, leading to a medium bodied and highly quaffable ale. A traditional English ale strain is used, lending a dry fruity note to the finish, with East Kent Golding hops bringing us home. Like all great English ales, the carbonation is on the lower end of the spectrum, allowing the complex grain bill and mild hop character shine through without being masked. Over four pounds per barrel of local South Jersey honey was added to accentuate the sweeter note, with biscuit malts along for the ride to give us the beautiful copper leaning amber color, along with a slightly toasted, nutty note. 6% ABV.
