Foundation is a saison brewed in the French style. It is copper colored and extremely dry with layers of complex flavors and aromas including hints of lemon, grass, straw, and spice. Foundation started life as the base beer for BRUX Domesticated Wild Ale, a collaboration between Sierra Nevada and Russian River Brewing Co. The resulting base beer was so delicious we decided to brew another batch without the wild yeast to allow the base flavors to shine. 8% ABV.
